An Article is an expression of one’s thoughts on an issue or subject. It is piece of writing published in a newspaper or magazine in print or electronic medium.
Format of an Article – The format of an article is divided into 3 parts
Heading – Heading should be catchy, relevant and engaging and it should not be more than 5 to 6 words and should not have any spelling and grammatical mistake.
Byline/Name of writer- The name of the person is generally given in the question, if not given you can write details on your own. Remember not to mention any personal details.
Paragraph 1 – Para 1 is the introduction paragraph. Begin with a short introduction of the topic. Keep it short, precise and simple. Precisely explain what the article is talking about. Remember to give an impressive start by:
- Slogan/ Quote
- Amazing facts/figures
Paragraph 2 and/or 3- Paragraph 2 and 3 must come with a complete analysis of the subject matter. It should contain causes, effect, types, reasons, symptoms ,present condition etc.
Paragraph 3 or 4 – Paragraph 3 or 4 are conclusion paragraph. It should talk about solution, actions taken for the betterment of the problem or outcome.
Coronavirus-A Killer Pandemic

More than 4 Million people affected. About 3 lac dead, economies crashing and the whole world on a standstill, just because of a tiny virus!
Coronavirus or Covid -19, as it is known is a deadly virus which has affected every nation in the world. Coronavirus is believed to have originated in Wuhan city of China, in December 2019, but now this virus has spread rapidly through the world. It is supposed to have transferred from animal to human. And till now there has been no cure of this diseases. Coronavirus has posed a threat to mankind.
Coronavirus is a very contagious disease and can spread rapidly. It transfers when a person comes in contact with the affected person through small droplets from his nose or mouth, which are expelled when a person with COVID-19 coughs, sneezes, or speaks. It also transfers if we touch an infected surface. The common symptoms of the disease includes coughing, sneezing and breathing difficulty. In severe case it can cause Pneumonia, acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death. According to World Health Organisation elder people and children below the age of 10 are more at risk.
All the nations are doing their best to fight this Global crisis. Many nations have imposed lock down to prevent it from spreading. We citizens should take equal responsibility to support our government and save our loved ones. Now what can we do to reduce the effect of this disease?
- strictly adhere to the rules of lock down and maintain social distancing.
- not go out unless it is extremely important and even if we need to go out we should wear mask
- wash and sanitise our hands regularly and keep our house and surrounding areas neat and clean.
- immediately distance ourselves from other and call the health department for check up if any symptom is seen
- not spread any rumours or baseless information which can create panic. It is a difficult time for everyone, but if we join hands we can keep away this monster away from our loved ones
